Just three days ago, the Razorbacks defeated Missouri, 2-1, on a game-winning goal by Lindsey Mayo in overtime during the final regular-season game, clinching the program's second-straight SEC Tournament berth. It will mark the first back-to-back SEC Tournament appearances for Arkansas since the 1999 and 2000 seasons.
The Razorbacks are looking to advance past the first round of play for the first time since 1996, following a record-setting season under second year head coach Colby Hale. Arkansas' 12 wins are a program record, while its 21 wins over the last two seasons under Hale are the most over any two-year span. Earlier in the season, the Razorbacks made their way into the top 25 for the first time in program history.
Missouri enters Monday's tilt with an 8-8-3 overall record and has played four consecutive overtime games. Prior to last Thursday's game at Arkansas, the Tigers had a four-game unbeaten streak and hadn't allowed more than one goal in nine of their last 10 contests. Like the Razorbacks, Missouri sports a balanced offensive attack with 11 players registering a goal this season, led by Kaysie Clark's 15 points on a team-best six goals.
Arkansas' 2-1 win last Thursday, which was its fifth overtime win of the season and 10th one-goal victory, put the all-time series between the two sides at 3-2 in favor of Missouri. Monday will mark the first-ever meeting between the two at the SEC Tournament.
If Arkansas advances, it would face top-seeded Florida in Wednesday's quarterfinals at 5 p.m.
