Harding's Lucas Collins cConcludes Regional play with a 77

    KENOSHA, Wis. (HARDING) - Harding junior Lucas Collins, a native of Harrison, Ark., shot a 5-over 77 in the third and final round of the NCAA Super Region 3 Tournament on Wednesday at The Club at Strawberry Creek.

    Collins finished the 54-hole tournament with an 11-over 227 and tied for 62nd of the 108 golfers in competition.
    Collins, the first Harding golfer to play in an NCAA regional, started his third round on the back 9. He had two bogeys on his first nine holes and made the turn at 2-over 38. Collins' lone birdie of the third round came on the par 5, 520-yard 7th hole. It was his sixth birdie of the tournament.

    Central Missouri won the team event, and along with second place Central Oklahoma and third place Missouri-St. Louis, moved on to the NCAA Division II National Tournament. The individual champion was Robert Hughey of Central Missouri, who shot a 13-under 203.
