UNDATED (KTHV) -- It's the largest organ you have but guys out there should know, women are not the only ones who should be paying attention to their skin.
Men's skin care can be pretty easy, but there are some simple tips men can do to help keep their skin looking healthy and young. Dillard's cosmetic counter manager Jenny Bartlett says there are certain skin products men should have on hand for daily skin care. Taking care of the skin is important because it regulates body-temperature, eliminates perspiration and toxins. According to one online report, a man's skin is 20% thicker than a woman's and typically firmer because it's richer in collagen and elastin. Men also tend to get dirtier and sweat more. They're also typically outside more. Because of this, Bartlett says the skin can be more susceptible to sun dangers.
Bartlett says men should look for suncreens and moisturizers with an SPF of 15 or higher. Daily shaving can cause dry skin and razor burn. Look for a soothing moisturizer or after-shave balm that matches your skin type.
Bartlett says cleanser, moisturizer and sunscreen are a few things men should always use.
