Today's THV is proud to support Little Rock's newly renovated Museum of Discovery, the centerpiece of Little Rock's River Market. The museum is no longer just a children's museum. The new exhibits and interactive displays are for the whole family.
We are proud to sponsor one of those exhibits called Tornado Alley, which takes you through the sights and sounds of the tornado outbreak or 19 (ask Ed) and features THV Meteorologists Ed Buckner and Tom Brannon. THV's meteorologists will frequently do the weather live from the museum and will introduce viewers to the special new features the museum has to offer.
The program occurs the last Wednesday of each month. Museum educators pick a science-related topic and develop an event around it. Museum members get in for free.
This Saturday marks the annual Dino Dash and Discovery Fest in the River Market.
Creepy, crawly critters will be the name of the game at the Museum of Discovery May 10-12, 2012 as educators host the annual three-day Bug Out! event, providing visitors the opportunity to learn about insects and the world of entomology.
Nearly 13-years ago a tornado changed the lives of one of our co-workers here at Today's THV. Now, a replica of his basement will give visitors to the new Museum of Discovery an experience like none other.
It's a new day at the Museum of Discovery. Located in the heart of Little Rock's River Market District, the Museum is in the midst of a complete transformation that will be revealed to the public Jan. 14, 2012.
