LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) - Just about every kid would love to see a new set of wheels under the Christmas tree, and dozens will thanks to a generous heart.
Two McDonald's stores (one on Geyer Springs Road and one on Baseline Road) gave 100 bikes to Reverend Benny Johnson to give away, courtesy of Stop the Violence.
Supporter Richard Anderson has been helping with the bike drive for three years and said without it Christmas morning would be a lot different for lots of kids.
"It's a great feeling when you see a child that looks like they're not getting anything for Christmas. All of a sudden you be the Santa Claus for the moment and hand them that bike. They get on their bike, and they begin riding, and their eyes are about as big as a flash light, so it's a very exciting time!" said Anderson.
Reverend Johnson now has 105 bikes, but needs 100 more.
