    LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) -- Here is a tasty dessert: fried peach pies.

    Heather Smith with Eggshells Kitchen will join Ashley, Alyse and Tom to demonstrate this recipe.

    Fried Peach Pies

    pkg. dried peaches
    2 C. water
    1 T. butter
    1/2 C. sugar

    Cut each peach half into 4 pieces. Put in pan with water. Boil til soft.
    Pour off water. Add butter and sugar to taste. Mash with potato masher til soft.

    1 C. + 2 T. flour
    1/2 t. salt
    1/8 t. baking powder
    1/4 C. shortening
    1/3 C. milk

    Mix dry ingredients and cut in shortening. Add milk to make biscuit texture.

    Divide into 8 equal parts. Roll each part with rolling pin into a round shape and place in press.

    Fold to seal. Fry in enough Crisco to cover half way up the pie.
