LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) -- Thursday night, Today's THV aired a prime-time adoption special called "A Place to Call Home."

Today's THV is partnered with the Arkansas Department of Human Services to help find homes for the hundreds of children in state care who are up for adoption.

Right now there are 505 state foster children up for adoption. Last year, 671 children were adopted. But as those children find homes, more come into the system who desperately need structure and love. There is also a shortage of foster homes in the state

You may have seen some of the kids we've featured in our stories. In the special, we go in-depth with adoption officials, as well as highlight children who've found their forever families.
