OUACHITA CO., Ark. (KTHV) - The ex-boyfriend of a Ouachita County woman is charged with her murder.
Brenda Thrower was found dead inside her home burning Dec. 14. Police say Thrower was on the phone when she said she heard someone in her house. She told her friend on the phone to call 911 and hung up.
When police arrived at her home her house was on fire. When the fire was put out they found Thrower's body inside.
The Arkansas Crime Lab determined that Thrower died of smoke inhalation. Police arrested her ex-boyfriend Clyde Sumler Dec. 18 and charged him with arson and capital murder. He is being held on a $500,000 bond.
