Detectives arrest suspects in recent felony thefts

    BENTON, Ark. (KTHV) - Two people have been taken into custody in connection with several recent felony thefts.

    According to Lt. Kevin Russell, Kevin Kelley, 39, and Kristy Stuckey, 33, have been arrested and charged with Theft by Receiving after police pulled them over an found stolen merchandise in their vehicle.

    Russell said both suspects are responsible for numerous thefts in central Arkansas, and detectives are working with other agencies to see if they are responsible for others. This is an on-going investigation and further charges could be forthcoming in the near future.

    Several of the thefts involved car lots and construction sites, and the total estimated value of the items stolen stands at $8,350 and could increase, added Russell.

    Stuckey is also an active parolee and Kelley is an absconder out of probation and parole.
