LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) - The FBI and IRS appeared at the home of Layton Stewart, former CEO of One Bank & Trust, around 8:45 Wednesday morning.
According to Kimberly Brunell with the FBI, agents were at Stewart's home on Hickory Creek Drive in Little Rock, and the IRS is leading a criminal investigation.
Arkansas Business reported that investigators are looking to allegations of self dealing after bank officials filed a suspicious activity report stemming from information that was uncovered during a forensic audit.
IRS spokesperson Dennis Holestein confirmed that the IRS was there on official business as part of a criminal investigation but could not give further details or speak on the charges involved.
Little Rock officers were also at the scene assisting, according to Sgt. Cassandra Davis.
