LONOKE COUNTY, Ark. (KTHV) - A Searcy man is under arrest in connection with a man's kidnapping in Lonoke County.

The Lonoke County Sheriff's Office got a frantic 911 call just before 6:30 p.m. on March 31 from a woman who said her boyfriend had just been taken at gunpoint.

The woman goes on to say that two men came to their home on North Walter Chapel Road in Carlisle with guns and took her boyfriend and his white Ford van.

Deputies learned that when the two men pulled out the guns, the 911 caller and another man got out of the house through the back while the caller's boyfriend was taken. The caller says she didn't know the men and didn't think her boyfriend knew them, either.

Just after 9:30 p.m. that night, the Sheriff's Office learned the abducted man had been found in White County. They also learned that 52-year-old Steven King from Searcy had been detained.

Authorities say the victim had been tied up and left in a vehicle. They say the victim was able to get out of the vehicle and ran to a nearby home and called for help. King was detained as he was trying to find the victim.

The victim was injured but didn't need medical attention.

The van and a white Nissan truck used in the abduction was found and impounded.

King is charged with kidnapping, aggravated residential burglary, aggravated assault, and felony terroristic threatening. He posted his $150,000 bond.

The reason for the kidnapping is still under investigation. Investigators are in the process of identifying the other male subject involved. Sheriff John Staley related "I appreciate all the assistance from the agencies involved in the search."
