LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) - A rash of burglaries happened in Little Rock's Hillcrest neighborhood Monday and according to Sgt. Cassandra Davis with the Little Rock Police Department, authorities believe them to be related.
THV 11 News received six Little Rock police reports containing information on burglaries that happened during the day on Monday.
The first was called in just after 9:30 a.m. on N. Buchanan St. Officers said a carport door was kicked in and the homeowner told police that many of his belongings were rifled through but the only item stolen was an Apple iPad.
According to police, the second burglary happened on N. Lookout St. just before noon. Officers said a door was kicked in and several items were stolen including music equipment, bottles of wine, and a television.
The third burglary was called in just after noon on N. Fillmore St. Officers observed that a door had been kicked in and several items were reported stolen such as a microwave oven, pots, pans, a coffee pot, jewelry, video games, a television, and liquor.
Another burglary was called in to police just after 12:15 p.m. on N. Tyler St. Officers said the homeowner returned home to find jewelry and a computer missing. Officers said the suspect(s) kicked the door in.
According to the police report, a fifth burglary was called in just before 1 p.m. Officers said the front door was kicked in, but nothing was taken from the inside. The homeowner told police that because the home is undergoing renovations, there wasn't anything inside at the time.
Lastly, the sixth reported burglary in Hillcrest was called in just after 2 p.m. on Stonewall Rd. Officers said a pry bar was used to enter the home and thousands of dollars worth of items were stolen including silver place settings, jewelry, and liquor.
No arrests have been made, but Sgt. Davis told THV 11 News that detectives are working leads right now. If you have any information on these burglaries, you're asked to call Little Rock police at (501) 371-4621.
