LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) -- With graduations and proms quickly approaching, having a good time is on the minds of many high school students.
Friday morning, Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD) teamed up with Little Rock School District to announce their efforts to promote awareness about the serious issue of underage drinking.
A young woman, who began drinking at the age of 13 and was nearly killed by a drunk driver herself, shared her story with those in attendance. One parent said she thinks the students really got the message.
MADD's annual day for parents to talk with teens about alcohol is April 21.
