LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) - Students at Arkansas Baptist College said they are still without student loan, scholarship or grant proceeds.
"Beginning tomorrow and through the rest of this week the plan is to begin making refunds to students whose files have been processed," said Shane Broadway with the Department of Higher Education.
Broadway is acting as temporary spokesperson for the college. He said the school has taken out a bank loan to provide students with proceeds.
"Because we've had to seek private financing, students will need to go ahead and register for the spring," said Broadway.
Broadway said the college has processed loan requests for more than 600 students. He said the remaining more than 300 requests should be processed within a week, and the first students will start receiving payments within the next few days.
