PULASKI COUNTY, Ark. (KTHV) - A teacher who was reportedly fired for marrying her long-time partner has been hired by another school.
Tippi McCullough, who taught at Mt. St. Mary's Catholic School in Little Rock for 14 years, lost her job after marrying her girlfriend last month. The school did not comment specifically about the situation but said at the time, "Given that we are a Catholic school, we adhere to the teachings of the Catholic Church and have a responsibility to provide a solid Catholic formation for our students."
Deb Roush with the Pulaski County Special School District told THV11 that McCullough started working with the district on Monday as an English as a Second Language (ESL) teacher.
