LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) - According to the Arkansas Department of Education, new data shows the number of students not academically prepared for college is growing smaller.
Nearly 9,000 out of 20,000 students needed remedial college classes in 2013. That's about 43 percent down from 55 percent in 2009.
The report counts the amount of first-time students who scored below 19 in the ACT.
The only 4-year college to see a slight increase is Henderson State.
