LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) - After LGBT rights made historic strides in America on Election Day, a group of Arkansans is organizing a ballot initiative in Arkansas.
The group says they started planning Nov. 7 for a 2016 ballot initiative for marriage equality in Arkansas. They're still in the early stages of planning, but right now they're working to create a vast network of people from around the state interested in moving the initiative forward.
One of the organizers for the event, Trey Weir, tells THV 11 in an email that they hope to have something submitted by the first of the year. You can find out more about the group by visiting their Facebook page.
