HOPE, Ark. (CNN/KTAL) - The government spending cuts that President Obama put into effect late Friday could affect former President Bill Clinton's childhood home.

It is a public landmark in the town of Hope, Arkansas.

Hope Mayor Dennis Ramsey says the federal spending cuts could limit the time this historic site stays open to the public, which will result in a shortage of employees.

Two permanent and three part-time employees currently work at the museum.
