LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (AP) - U.S. Sens. Mark Pryor and John Boozman have announced a $150,000 economic development grant for southwestern Arkansas.
Pryor, a Democrat, and Boozman, a Republican, announced the Economic Development Administration will award the Southwest Arkansas Planning Development District the grant for its Stronger Economies Together initiative.
The two senators said Tuesday that the funding will be used to support a workforce development mapping project and the creation of a regional business retention and expansion program in Columbia, Hempstead, Howard, Lafayette, Little River, Miller, Nevada, and Sevier Counties.
