Check out more on this list from Good Housekeeping: 4 Ways to Avoid Packing on the Pounds This Winter
1. Make walking outside more comfortable - Prep for the season's roadblocks.Pull out all of your cold-weather gear: Having the items to keep you warm within easy reach will make outdoor walks and errands seem more bearable.
2. Make exercise painless - Think of ways to weave in a little more of that physical activity you naturally get in warm weather. Instead of getting coffee with a friend, take a walk together. Or take an extra lap around the mall when you're shopping.
3. Look for good produce - One of the reasons we keep eating long after we've met our calorie requirements is that we're still craving nutrients. Help make sure you're getting what you need by digging into the amazing fruits and vegetables in season now, like squash and Florida oranges.
4. Entertain yourself - Doing activities you enjoy can stimulate your brain to produce dopamine, a mood-enhancing hormone that can help stave off the negative feelings that might lead to indulging and can also act as an appetite suppressant.
