Lincoln and Rep. John Boozman are both defending their votes for the $700 billion package. They say action was needed to avoid a further financial meltdown. Lt. Gov. Bill Halter, who is challenging Lincoln in the Democratic primary, says the vote helped Wall Street and that the package didn't include enough transparency.
State Sen. Gilbert Baker, who is seeking the GOP nomination, is targeting Boozman in an ad that appears to liken Boozman to Democratic lawmakers.
Baker says he would have voted against the bailout bill. Halter hasn't said how he would have voted.
