The Hot Springs Village police department says Taylor was the apparent victim of an assault in his home.
Taylor was discovered by a friend when he failed to keep an appointment Friday afternoon. Taylor was pronounced dead at a local hospital Friday.
His body has been sent to the Arkansas State Crime Lab for an autopsy.
Berks was arrested by Hot Springs Village police officers and has been charged with first degree murder. If convicted, Berks could be sentenced for ten years to life in prison.
The Garland Co. Sheriff's Department, the Arkansas State Police, and the Garland County Coroner's Office are participating in the investigating.
