Arkansas State Police spokesman Bill Sadler and the Arkansas Department of Emergency Management say the search resumed at 6:30 a.m.
At least 16 people have been confirmed dead in Arkansas flooding, including a number of children.
Heavy rains dumped more than a half-foot of rain on the area in southwest Arkansas. The Little Missouri climbed 20 feet within a four-hour period overnight, trapping many campers.
Crews plan to use ATVs, canoes and horses to search for missing people. The effort is expected to take several more days -- and perhaps even weeks.
American Red Cross has set up a Safe and Well website where flood survivors are registering. Anyone looking for a loved one can log on there to check on family members.
The Albert Pike Campground has also been temporarily closed by Ouachita National Forest officials.
