It was reported Sunday on Bufford Road in the city of Desha. A cause of death has not yet been released.
Neighbors on the dead end road in Desha have seen two-year-old Harley grow up from a distance and say she was a beautiful little girl who seemed to have a loving family.
Neighbors tell Today's THV that at about 7:30 a.m. Sunday they heard the mother screaming for help. When they rushed over they found the baby lying on the ground lifeless, someone performed CPR.
Mundy explains, "Officers responded as well as EMS, the child was taken into White River Medical Center where later on it was pronounced dead."
Investigators spent the day gathering evidence in the mobile home the child lived in and died in.
The incident has not been ruled as foul play or a homicide.
Mundy adds, "We still have questions we need to get the answers to."
Family and friends tell Today's THV the baby was found in the refrigerator. When asked, Mundy responded, "I'd rather not comment on that at this time right now."
Mundy continues, "We'll be out here as long as it takes to get the job accomplished. You hope it's an unfortunate accident, an unfortunate event, but we're just looking at it because we have questions and don't have the answers."
