    Danick Adams murdered in 2008, police need help

    JACKSONVILLE, Ark. (KTHV) -- The Jacksonville Police Department needs your help with new leads for a cold case.

    Danick Adams was 18 when she was murdered August 15, 2008.

    Danick and a friend were leaving the Ultimate Fitness gym, located at 1108 South Redmond Road in Jacksonville, when approached by a black male armed with a handgun demanding vehicle keys, cell phone, & other valuables.

    After obtaining the demanded items the suspect for an unknown reason began shooting, striking Danick.

    The witness (her friend) was able to flee the scene unharmed. The suspect had taken Danick's vehicle that was later located by a Jacksonville Police officer.

    The officer attempted to stop the stolen vehicle, and the vehicle came to a rolling stop and the driver fled on foot. A black female passenger remained in the vehicle; she was held for questioning and later released. The suspect is an unidentified black male approximately 37-years-old, approximately 5'6" to 5'8", weighing approximately 160-180 pounds.

    After interviewing several individuals no suspects were identified and the case is currently open.

    The family and friends of Danick are offering a $5,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of person or persons responsible for Danick's murder.
