VAN BUREN, Ark. (KFSM) -- Van Buren Police are looking for 16-year-old girl who has been missing since Feb. 10.
On Friday around 7:30 p.m., Angela Allen, 16, told her mother she was going to walk around the neighborhood and never returned home, according to Det. Jonathan Wear. The next morning her mother reported her missing.
Det. Wear says they are not investigating this as an "abduction" at this point, but they have some concerns.
"She has not had communication with anybody at this point, obviously that heightens our concerns," he said. "We haven't ruled anything out at this point; right now it's being investigated as missing or runaway juvenile."
Det. Wear says typically a missing juvenile is found within a couple days. But Allen has been missing for nearly a week.
"A lot of time we intercept Facebook or phone conversations, there's not any of that that with this case," Det. Wear said.
At this time, the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, as well as the Morgan Nick Foundation are assisting in the search for Allen.
Allen is described as a white female, 5'4", 150lbs, with green eyes and strawberry blonde hair.
If anyone knows her whereabouts or has information of where she may be, please contact the Van Buren Police Department at (479) 474-1234.
