ARKADELPHIA, Ark. (KTHV) -- Riakos Lizana quietly entered the courtroom and pleaded not guilty to four charges-three for capital murder and one for aggravated residential burglary.
The 19-year-old's court appearance only took a few minutes Friday afternoon as Judge Robert McCallum read off the charges and denied bail.
According to the Clark County clerk's office, the public defense office has also filed a motion for a gag order. The judge will look into the motions, and they are set to meet back for another pretrial hearing Feb. 5.
Lizana is accused of killing Bobby Jean "Chino" Galbraith and his two step daughters. Police said the girls' mother found them along with her unharmed infant daughter. Anna Galbraith did show up at court Friday, but left right after court dismissed, and officers walked her to her car.
Lizana's family members believe he is innocent, and his sister said she will be there for her little brother every step of the way.She added that she is praying for the Galbraiths because she, too, knows what it's like to lose someone.
