HARRISBURG, Ark. (AP) - A judge has set a trial date for a man accused of killing two people in a northeast Arkansas trailer home but results of a mental evaluation of the suspect are still pending.

Prosecutors are seeking the death penalty for 28-year-old John Anthony Arnoult of Jonesboro for the August slayings of 57-year-old John Poff and 56-year-old Constance "Connie" Cole.

    Arnoult has pleaded not guilty.

A trailer park maintenance man found the victims shot and beaten in their Trumann mobile home.

The Jonesboro Sun reports a judge on Monday set trial for Sept. 10 but results of a mental evaluation conducted in March on Arnoult are still pending.

Arnoult was arrested last September. Authorities have not discussed a motive for the killings.
