CLARKSVILLE, Ark. (AP) - Johnson County authorities have charged a man with first-degree murder for the stabbing death of a 6-year-old girl.
Prosecutors on Thursday also charged 22-year-old Kou Her of Clarksville with trying to kidnap the Autumn Vang's older sister.
The Southwest Times Record reports that Her is being held on $1 million bond. He's also charged with aggravated residential burglary, first-degree battery and aggravated assault.
Sheriff's deputies responded to a call from a home near Hartman on May 10, where two people had subdued the suspect after the attack.
Autumn Vang died at Arkansas Children's Hospital in Little Rock six days after being stabbed.
Her is represented by a public defender and is to be arraigned in Clarksville on July 5.
