LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) -- This year in Arkansas, state health officials are reporting a record high number of rabies cases.

This year in Arkansas there have been 121 reported cases including 22 bats, two cows, 94 skunks and three dogs. The county with the most cases is Boone County.

Coming up in the C-block, Dr. Bob Hale with Briarwood Animal Hospital will be here to talk about how to best protect your pet, how rabies is treated, and the signs your pet might have been exposed or infected.

And as always, you can send in any other pet questions you might have. Just email cblock@todaysthv.com, comment on our Facebook page, or tweet us #THV11.
