Lurch was a 14-year-old watusi steer, whose horns set the world record for for the largest circumference of horns of any animal in the world in 2003.

Lurch was adopted by Janice Wolf when he was several weeks old, and grew up with her at the Rocky Ridge Animal Refuge near Gassville.

Janice and Lurch are no strangers to television. They've been featured on the Ellen show, and for some reason Lurch is a popular curiosity with the TV audience in Japan.

The Baxter Bulletin reports Lurch was diagnosed with cancer at the base of one of its horns last year.
