FORREST CITY, Ark. (WREG) -- The FBI has determined the death of a transgendered woman in Forrest City is not a hate crime.
WREG in Memphis reports the FBI were called in to help with the investigation into the death of 25-year-old Marcel Tye who was found shot and dragged along a highway in Forrest City.
In the autopsy, there were burns on the body which police believe to be from the car when she was dragged.
The FBI told local police their services will be made available if needed to help with the investigation.
