GARLAND COUNTY, Ark. (KTHV) -- Garland county prosecutors charged Randy Gay with 1st degree murder in the death of Connie Snow.
In May of this year, witnesses claim that Gay got into an argument with Snow and then Gay pulled out a long gun, firing once at Snow. They say he put her body in the back of his pick-up and drove off. Four days later deputies found her body in the Ouachita National Forest.
Because the crime happened on federal property-- the U.S. attorney could take it over.
Gay's sister was in the courtroom Monday, defending him.
Monday morning, a judge also appointed an attorney to represent Gay.
The next hearing will be July 18. This will be Gay's third trial for murder charges.
