HOT SPRING COUNTY, Ark. (KTHV) - Officers from the Malvern Police Department were able to foil a counterfeiting ring.
According to police, the ring had been passing $5, $10, $20 and $100 bills for the past two weeks. Information received by authorities led to police suspecting Jason Frazier of this crime.
He was said to be printing the bills at a residence on Phoenix Lane in the Gifford community of Hot Spring County. They also learned in the given information that he was manufacturing methamphetamine as well.
When police arrived on scene, they found a strong chemical odor consistent with a meth lab. Frazier was inside the residence.
According to police, they found .5 grams of methamphetamine and $120 in counterfeit bills. Frazier is in custody at the Hot Spring County Jail, booked on counterfeiting and possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver.
During a bond hearing in circuit court on January 5, 2012 Suspect Frazier was issued a bond of $15,000.
