HEMPSTEAD COUNTY, Ark. (KTHV) -- KSLA reports that an Arkansas mother and a man she knew face juvenile rape and abuse charge. This comes after a teen told detectives she had been forced to have sex with the man.
Bobby Parks, 65, of Blevins was arrested by Hempstead County investigators for rape and sexual indecency with a child. In addition, they've arrested Danette Moore, 35, of Geona for permitting the abuse of a minor.
Detectives say the arrests come after a two month investigation in which a 17-year-old female was allegedly abused and forced to have sex with Parks since she was 13-years-old.
According to the KSLA report, the teen told investigators that the sex with Parks began while her mother was in prison. The teen's grandmother, who has since died, made the girl go with Parks so he would help pay bills.
When Moore was released from prison, the teen said her mother continue with Parks so he would pay bills and help support the mother's drug habit. The girl told investigators that her mother would give her meth so she would be high during her time with Parks.
Both Parks and Moore are in the Hempstead County Jail. Parks' bond has not been set, but Moore's is at $50,000.
