LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) - Got any old shoes lying around? Cluttering up a closet? The kind you kick out of the way and keep telling yourself you need to get rid of? Well tomorrow is the day.

Saturday, August 11, the Ozark Water Project will have a big trailer set up in the parking lot of the Highway 10 at Chenal Walmart. They'll be there from 9 a.m. till 4 p.m.

Take all your old shoes by the trailer and here's what happens next. After the shoes are collected, they're bundled, and sent to third world countries and sold for mere pennies.

The money collected then goes to producing safe water wells in countries that don't enjoy the luxury of healthy living. Shoes collected at the WLR Wal Mart, will impact Haiti, a country that has suffered through serious cholera outbreaks because of contaminated water.

Your old shoes could ultimately save lives. Join Ozark Water Saturday. There's no business like old shoe business!
