LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) Central High School is celebrating its 55th anniversary of desegregation with several events in the month of September. One such event took place today at a book signing with Author Edmond Davis. Davis has written "Pioneering African-American Aviators featuring the Tuskegee Airmen of Arkansas."

Davis is a facilitator of History at Arkansas Baptist College and the University of Phoenix. He's believed to have the largest collection of Arkansas Tuskegee Airmen history memorabilia in the country.

Davis says the book sheds light on many unknown facts.

"It does highlight the women who showed Tuskegee airman how to fly a lot of people don't realize women showed Tuskegee Airman how to fly," says Davis.

Continuing with events author Tammy Lisa Carmen also held a signing today for her book "Between 2 Races."
