HOT SPRINGS, Ark. (KTHV) -- It's more than just finding a good job. It's about learning to live independently.
One of the many missions for Abilities Unlimited in Hot Springs is to help and train people with disabilities to become as independent as possible.
Abilities Unlimited, established in 1961, offers training on assembly, packaging, retail, and janitorial maintenance. The program is more than that. It includes life skills training to teach participants how to do everyday tasks like cooking and cleaning.
The community has helped this program flourish by donating to the Abilities Unlimited Thrift Store located at 1819 Albert Pike in Hot Springs Village.
