PERRYVILLE, Ark. (KTHV) -- A fire Wednesday afternoon destroyed the Big Star grocery store in the Perry County town of Perryville, but the surrounding community is coming together to help out one another.

Students at the high school all signed a banner that was attached to a school bus dropped off at the Big Star store site Thursday afternoon.
For some, this was the only grocery store and pharmacy they had. A mobile pharmacy will be delivered today to help residents keep up with the medication they need.
"It's terrible. There's a lot of seniors here that can't get out and go different places. They depend on Big Star and the people that work here. We depended on Big Star. It's just sad," says cashier T.J. Walker.
The store opened in 1983 and actually burned back in 1992 at this same location. It took them about a year to rebuild and that's what they plan to do this time as well.
