Arkansas State Police say a mother and daughter were killed in a crash on Interstate 40 near Clarksville on Wednesday.
Police identified the victims as 18-year-old Tiffany N. Brown of Little Rock, and 52-year-old Billie J. Brown of Maumelle.
The crash report said Tiffany Brown was driving east and veered into the median and struck a vehicle when coming back onto I-40. Her car was then struck by a tractor-trailer. The accident happened around 5 p.m.
The other motorists involved in the accident were not hurt. The report said it is unknown whether the Browns were wearing seat belts.
Tiffany Brown was a senior at Central Arkansas Christian Schools (CAC). In a press release, the school says they notified students of her death Thursday morning at an assembly and grief counselors and clergy are available to students.
Brown was reportedly returning from a visit to the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville. Other CAC students were traveling with them, but were not involved in the accident.
