LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) - A man has been arrested for the death of Jan Lowe, who was found deceased in her burning apartment in January.
On January 7, members of the Little Rock Fire Department responded to a structure fire at 3401 Fair Park, Apt. # A-108. When they arrived on the scene, they found the apartment fully engulfed by fire. After the fire was extinguished, it was discovered that female's body was in the bedroom.
Members of the L.R.P.D. Homicide Detail and Crime Scene Search Unit responded to the scene. Detectives were unable to identify the body and it was transported to the Ark. State Crime Lab by the Pulaski County Coroner's Office. On January 19, the body was positively identified as Jan Lowe and the case was ruled a Homicide.
Terry Howard was developed as a suspect in this case. On Thursday, an arrest warrant for Terry Howard was obtained charging him with one count of 1st Degree Murder. Mr. Howard was contacted and was taken into custody without incident. Mr. Howard was charged with 1st Degree Murder and was placed in the Pulaski County jail.
