Police arrested a 23-year-old University of Arkansas student and another 21-year-old man after they allegedly beat and kidnapped a fraternity member. Sophomore Scotty Gaddis and Aaron Acklin face felony kidnapping charges after allegedly attacking student Dax Nowell at the Alpha Gamma Rho Fraternity house. Nowell says the fight started because he had dated Gaddis' former girlfriend. Nowell says Gaddis, Acklin and 10 other men fought over him. Nowell claims the men bound his wrists in duct tape and choked him until he passed out. Nowell says he awoke in a car as Gaddis and Acklin dumped him and drove away. Gaddis and Acklin each face felony kidnapping charges. Both remain in the Washington County Detention Center on a $10,000 bond.
