A single-arch McDonald's restaurant sign on Main Street in Pine Bluff will be moved to a new site when the restaurant closes. The restaurant has been in business at that location since 1962 and the sign was added to the National Register of Historic Places last year. Owners of the franchise are moving the McDonald's to a busier location. Mayor Carl Redus Jr. says he is grateful that the McDonald's Corporation and the local owners recognize the significance of the sign and of Pine Bluff's past.
