A woman convicted of her 10th driving while intoxicated charge has received the maximum sentence, 10 years in prison.
A Saline County jury sentenced 43-year-old Sheila Blair on Friday. Authorities say Blair has been arrested 10 times on DWI charges in 12 years.
Blair was arrested in April after residents complained about a vehicle being driven recklessly, police said. Authorities say Blair asked her son to tell a police officer that he'd been the driver of the vehicle. Authorities say she failed two field sobriety tests and refused to perform a third.
The jurors deliberated for 24 minutes, and spent 12 minutes determining Blair's sentence.
