UNDATED (KTHV) -- Today's THV is always looking for ways to make your life easier. So, we're highlighting five things to do this weekend in Arkansas with the family.

#1. Lake Catherine in Hot Springs -- Weather pending, you can enjoy one last weekend of summer fun and take advantage of the lake and kayak tours. Bring the whole family on Saturday as they close the nature cabin down for the summer and have a release party for its animal inhabitants.

#2. Championship Horse Show -- The 49th Annual Arkansas State Championship Horse Show will be August 31 - September 3 at the Barton Coliseum. More than 1,300 riders will compete in events like gaiting and speed runs. Proceeds benefit the Arkansas Children's Hospital.

#3. The Wonder Place -- It's all about dads this weekend at The Wonder Place in Little Rock. On Saturday the father in your life gets in free when they take their kiddos to splash in the water table, put on a theatrical production and more. This unique and creative experience is geared to kids ages 8 and under.

#4. The Museum of Discovery -- On Sunday, the first 1,000 visitors to the Museum of Discovery in Little Rock will be admitted to explore for just $1. As admission is normally $10 for adults and $8 for kids, this is a great deal! You can go behind the scenes and see how video game developers, music producers, roller coaster designers and other creative problem solvers use math and science to do the amazing things they do at the Design zone exhibit.

#5. Magic Springs -- Grammy-nominated country music singer Josh Turner will close the 2012 Concert Series at Magic Springs on Sunday at 8 p.m. Concerts are included with your one-day general admission ticket or Season Pass.
