LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (Oct. 9, 2012) - Students from Parkview Arts-Science Magnet High School are bringing the dead back to life at the 18th annual 'Tales of the Crypt'.

This unique Halloween event will take place on tonight, October 9, at the reportedly haunted Mount Holly Cemetery (1200 Broadway Street) from 5:30 until 8:30 p.m.

Students research the historical figures, then write and memorize a monologue from their lives - in full, historically accurate costumes.

Famous long-dead characters such as Frances Hanger, who invited the artist of the Arkansas Traveler, Edward Payson Washburn, and boy martyr David O'Dodd of Civil War days will be included along with other characters who have never before been featured.

This year's presentation will feature 22 student actors recreating the lives of Arkansans who have helped shape Little Rock's history.

Admission is free to the public, however donations to Mount Holly Cemetery are appreciated and aid in the maintenance of the cemetery.

Tours through the cemetery will feature 15 stops with two continuously running tours.
