LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (Oct. 9, 2012) - Through the celebration of the performing arts, the Trinity Presents... Performance Series extends the reach of Trinity United Methodist Church's offering for friendship and fellowship beyond the confines of the local congregation and presents it to the greater Little Rock and central Arkansas areas.
The 26th season begins on Sunday, October 14th at 6 p.m. with Bill Carter and the Presbybops, a gospel jazz quartet. There is no cost to attend but it is first come, first serve.
Bill Carter and the Presbybops are the best known musicians playing "sacred jazz" in the United States. Formed in 1993 by pianist Bill Carter, a Presbyterian minister, this consort of New York-based professionals has toured the country extensively performing in concerts and jazz worship services.
In addition to Bill Carter, the primary composer for the group, the core members of the ensemble include saxophonist Al Hamme, bassist Tony Marino and drummer Ron Vincent.
Trinity UMC will provide childcare for infants and children under 3 years of age. Please call the church office at 666-2813 prior to the date of the performance to make reservations.
