LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) - Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Arkansas (BBBSCA) is gearing up for their 27th annual Bowl for Kids' Sake (BFKS) event. The event is a fundraiser where individuals, families and businesses lend their support to the work that Big Brothers Big Sisters does in the community.

To participate, a group of four to five individuals form a team. Teams can consist of families, friends, co-workers, church members, etc. Each team is asked to raise a minimum of $500 in donations from friends, family, and co-workers. To celebrate all the money raised by the teams, BBBSCA hosts a bowling celebration night in the month of February at Professor Bowl and invites the teams to participate. Dates for 2013 are February 22nd and 23rd, and this year we are having a Mardi Gras theme!

Team registration is happening now. According to Director of Development Lakethia Glenn, "Bowl for Kids' Sake is a great way to be involved with Big Brothers Big Sisters because it is something you can do with family, friends, or co-workers while supporting mentoring in Central Arkansas."
