Spring break fun at the Arkansas Arts Center

    LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) -- From an exhibit featuring art by Arkansas kids, to the Children's theater, the Arkansas Arts Center has lots of fun stuff happening this spring break.

    The Cetner's executive director Todd Herman stopped by "THV 11 News This Morning" to talk more with Alyse and Tom.

    • 52nd Young Arkansas Artists Exhibition 
    - March 15 - April 28, 2013 
    - Artwork on display from students kindergarten through 12th grade 
    - Over 500 artworks were submitted 
    - 102 works were selected by the Arkansas Art Educators to be in the show 
    - One Best of Class and two Honorable Mentions were chosen for each grade by a guest juror, Dr. Jeff Young, chair of the art department at the University of Central Arkansas

    • 52nd Young Arkansas Artists Exhibition Awards Reception and Family Festival 
    - Sunday, April 7 from 12 p.m. - 3 p.m. 
    - Free for AAC members, artists and their families / $5 for non-members / $20 per family 
    - Activities at the family festival will include mural painting, storytelling, and exciting opportunities for adults and children to create action art 
    - Awards ceremony will be at 2:30 p.m. in the Children's Theatre

    • The Princess and the Pea Spring Break Matinees 
    - March 19 - 22 at 2 p.m. 
    - Tickets are $12 for members and $10 for non-members
