LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) -- Since 1990, more than 100 million children in over 130 countries have been given a shoe box full of gifts for Operation Christmas Child.

Local volunteer Susan Thomas stopped by "THV 11 This Morning" to share more.

You can drop off your donations to Immanuel Baptist Church at 501 N. Shackleford Nov. 18-25.

    How to pack your shoebox:

    1. Use an empty shoebox (average size) or a small plastic container.
    2. Determine whether your gift will be for a boy or a girl, and the child's age category: 2-4, 5-9, or 10-14. Label it appropriately.
    3. Fill with a variety of gifts of your choosing.
    4. Help cover shipping and other costs related to delivery by donating $7 for each shoebox you prepare.
    5. Drop it off at Immanuel Baptist between Nov. 18-25.
